Practical Strategies for Study Skills
£60
eLearning
Individuals are often asked to do independent study, but are rarely taught the skills to do so effectively. Dyslexic individuals, particularly, have often spent so much time struggling with literacy difficulties that they have not had the opportunity to develop good study skills. This module examines a range of approaches to study in order to support dyslexic individuals with developing and implementing effective study skills.

Learner Motivation and Self-esteem
£60
eLearning
Developing and sustaining self-esteem and motivation can be a real challenge for individuals with additional needs and is an area that is important to address. Whilst this module is aimed at supporting dyslexic individuals, the strategies suggested here would be equally appropriate for those who are not dyslexic.

The Dyslexia Friendly Learning Environment
£60
eLearning
It is recognised that the vast majority of dyslexic individuals spend most, if not all, of their education time in a mainstream classroom or learning environment. This module identifies how the “classroom” and “institution” can be made dyslexia friendly, thus creating an inclusive learning environment. This module is linked to the BDA's Quality Mark which provides a template of good practice in this arena.

Practical Solutions for Higher Level Literacy Skills
£120
eLearning
This eLearning module looks at how to support learners with higher levels of reading, writing and spelling. It explores techniques and strategies that enable dyslexic individuals to get what they need from text- based information and then demonstrate what they know in a written format.
Carrying out an assessment with Pre16 learners with complex needs (SASC Approved)
£60
eLearning
This SASC approved course is aimed at practising assessors who assess in the pre-16 age group or those working with adults who wish to further their knowledge of assessing in this age group. Delegates should hold AMBDA and/or an APC or have completed a L7 qualification in the assessment and teaching of SpLD learners. The course will broaden their understanding of a range of complex needs and how to effectively assess neurodiverse learners.

Practical Solutions for Hidden Difficulties
£120
eLearning
This eLearning module explores a range of some of the more frequently identified Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs). It also considers the likelihood of co-occurrence and how each individual is therefore likely to have a unique profile of strengths and difficulties, requiring a range of support strategies.
