The approaches to Dyslexia and other SpLDs in Online Environments

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) met in March 2021 to hear about the impact of Covid on learning. The group heard about teachers’ and parents’ experiences of remote learning and technology, remote diagnostic assessing, exams and remote teaching.

Speakers and topics included:

Dr Helen Ross - on Teachers’ and parents’ experiences of remote learning and use of tech since first lockdown last April/May
Denise Thornton - Clinical Neuropsychologist and Educational Psychologist and Chair of the Association of Child Psychologists in Private Practice, on remote diagnostic assessing.
Christopher Rossiter, of the Driver Youth Trust - on Exams
Dr Manon Jones, Bangor University - on Remote Teaching
Dr Cameron Downing PhD, FHEA - on Remote Teaching
