We are thrilled to announce that Rory Cowlam, better known as Rory the Vet will be joining us as our latest Ambassador.

As well as being an extremely talented veterinarian, Rory is an author and well-known TV personality. He has recently published his first book 'The Secret Life of a Vet' which has been revered by critics as the Veterinary world’s answer to the book, ‘This is Going to Hurt' by Dr Adam Kay.

Rory regularly calls his dyslexia his 'superpower', encouraging dyslexic children to do the same and embrace their unique gift. He is proud to be working with the British Dyslexia Association as an ambassador and is excited about what the partnership can achieve for future generations.

"Up until this point, I had always struggled to fully understand how I learnt and why I was good at some subjects and so bad at others. This is why the work the British Dyslexia Association is doing is so important.

"I am motivated to support the British Dyslexia Association to ensure that children attending school now, and in years to come, will receive a diagnosis and the necessary support at the time they need it most. Dyslexia doesn’t have to be a barrier to learning if it is understood and identified early."

Commenting on Rory becoming an ambassador, Nick Posford, CEO, British Dyslexia Association, said: “Thank you to Rory for joining our team. You are a role model to so many and you shine a light on what can be achieved by people with dyslexia with the right support in place. By talking about how dyslexia has played a role in your life, you show young people with dyslexia that it can be a real asset. We look forward to working with you over the coming months and making a positive impact for people with dyslexia across the UK."
