National Numeracy Day - Wednesday 18th May 2022

Tuesday 17 May 2022

Wednesday 18th 2022 is National Numeracy Day and we are supporting our friends at National Numeracy.

Many people with dyslexia have dyscalculia which means that they often struggle with numeracy. So if you have always found maths difficult why not take the National Numeracy Challenge, and find out what support is available for you. Take the National Numeracy Check

National Numeracy aim to break a world record, with their GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® attempt at 9:30-10am “we want everyone to have a natter about numbers, to make the subject a little less scary and as a first step towards improving numeracy."

#TheBigNumberNatter Join the first ever nationwide conversation about numbers. Whether you love it or loathe it, everyone has something to say about maths! Join the live link

Our Dyscalculia Lead, Brenda was also invited to join the team on BBC Morning Live to discuss dyscalculia and how you may be able to recognise the signs in those who are struggling more than usual with maths.

You can watch the whole segment here from 9:20: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/...
