What is Dyscalculia?
This session will explore some definitions of Dyscalculia and make reference to the current debates in the field around this learning difference. It is aimed at those with a general interest in dyscalculia as well as those who are interested in hearing about the current issues.
Presenter Pete Jarrett, is the chair of the BDA's Dyscalculia and Maths Difficulties Committee. He is also the managing director of Tutorum Learning and Assessment and an AMBDA qualified teacher and assessor specialising in Maths learning difficulties and dyscalculia. Pete also lectures on dyslexia and maths learning difficulties on masters and undergraduate programmes at Bath Spa University.
