The government’s response to the Consultation on Implementing the EBacc has been published.

The BDA would like it known that we met with DFE during the Consultation period along with other Disability Groups to voice our strong concerns about the implementation of the EBacc. We recognise how difficult it will be for some students with Specific Learning Difficulties to complete the required GCSEs. We are especially concerned about the compulsory inclusion of a foreign language for some students and the lack of creative subjects.

Our concerns are reflected in the Equality Analysis.
