The Department for Education releases factsheets to help understand changes to GCSEs

The Department for Education has released factsheets for employers, FE providers, HE providers and parents concerning the new 1-9 GCSE system.
The factsheets outline how the new system matches up with the old A*-C model and the timetable for changes up to 2020.
Factsheets showing:
- the new GCSE grading scale
- standard and strong pass marks and what this means for students, schools, parents and employers
- when the new grades will apply to different subjects
