New BDA CEO Announcement

A comprehensive recruitment campaign has been undertaken after the decision by our current CEO, Kate Saunders, to retire next year. 29 individuals, mainly with Charity Director or CEO experience, applied for the position. The Trustees are delighted to announce that the new BDA CEO from 1 March 2018, will be Mrs Helen Boden. Helen is currently the Head of Training, Assessments and Conferences at BDA, and brings the strong strategic skills together with specialist professional knowledge of dyslexia, we sought. The BDA is in a good place, we anticipate a very smooth handover early next year and wish Kate well in retirement, and Helen every success in taking forward the BDA to create greater awareness and improved outcomes for dyslexic people.
