Dr. Sylvia Moody

Friday 24 February 2017

B.D.A. is sorry to hear of the death of Dr. Sylvia Moody. She worked tirelessly as an advocate for dyslexic individuals and particularly in the adult arena.

Dr. Sylvia Moody was a Practitioner Clinical Psychologist and she wrote extensively to increase understanding of the adult experience of dyslexia, useful strategies for adults and teenagers, and guidance for employers on how to make reasonable adjustments and enable dyslexic individuals to flourish in the workplace. Her work helped to raise awareness and helped to improve potential outcomes for very large numbers of dyslexic individuals.

Dr. Sylvia Moody was passionate and dedicated to this objective and her passing is a considerable loss to the field. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.
