Professional Membership options
Professional Membership is for those who hold a British Dyslexia Association accreditation or equivalent, and who wish to have their professional status recognised. Student membership is for Level 5 and post-graduate students registered on a course leading to a specialist teacher/assessor qualification approved by the BDA Accreditation Board. Fees are paid annually.

- Consultation on key policy issues (via elected representative)
AMBDA
Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association is for those who have completed an AMBDA accredited course or equivalent, or hold up to date AMBDA accreditation and is required for all those applying for or holding an APC with the BDA. Applicants have three years from completing their course to apply.

AMBDA FE/HE
Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association Further and Higher Education is for those who have completed an AMBDA FE/HE accredited course, or equivalent, or have an up to date AMBDA FE/HE accreditation. Applicants have three years from completing their course to apply.

Professional Membership
This membership is for those who hold an up to date BDA accreditation of Accredited Teacher/Practitioner Status (ATS/APS); Accredited Teacher/Practitioner Dyscalculia (ATD/APD); Accredited Tutor Status, Further & Higher Education (ATS FE/HE); or a Teaching Practising Certificate (TPC) but do not hold AMBDA.

Dyslexia Contact is our official magazine, it is published three times a year and is available exclusively to our members.
Dyslexia Contact is a lively, visual publication written in a dyslexia-friendly style that aims to provide impartial, practical information and advice for issues related to dyslexia. It is suitable for all with an interest in dyslexia including dyslexic people, parents, professionals and organisations.
