Free Webinar: Simple and Effective Multi-sensory Techniques Children Can Try at Home

The multi-sensory techniques Susie will be presenting are based on her recent BBC Bitesize article on ‘Five multi-sensory activities you can do with your child at home’. These will not only be centered around the early years, but from key stages 1-5 across a variety of subjects.

Viewers will be able to:

  • Understand multi-sensory techniques.
  • Find and discuss a range of multi-sensory techniques to try at home for all ages and stages.
  • Apply specific techniques from Susie’s ‘Multi-sensory Toolkit’ by Oaka Books, as well as examples from the latest ‘Dyslexia Friendly Schools Good Practice Guide’ for dyslexic students across a variety of subjects.

The session will be suitable for teachers, parents, students and other practitioners working with dyslexic children too.

Dr Susie Nyman will be showcasing her 'Simple and Effective Multi-sensory Techniques Children Can Try at Home' based on 25 years teaching at Farnborough Sixth Form College and 7 years at The Oratory School. Her work was recently published by BBC Bitesize and can be found in ‘The Multi-sensory Teaching Toolkit’ by Oaka Books. Additionally, video footage is available on YouTube.
